Recent events

In light of the recent tragedies, one author decided to bring back to our attention that some schools were accepting bribes in monetary value in order to admit students who were not at all eligible for any the programs the school had to offer. Not only did they make their way in to these schools illegally, the students didn't even know that their parents bribed they universities for them. Randi Lynn Tanglen, a writer for the Dallas news offers the audience a bit more to bargain for. By providing the readers with little unknown facts about the topic. The author makes sure to reach out to a more justice filled audience, an audience who will for sure be against the idea of corruption in our education system.

The author provides quite some detail by making any comparisons of the institution she currently attends regularly versus the institutions that let this occur and actually encouraged the schemes of bribing incapable students and putting them in such a high position in which they are not prepared for. Tanglen provided some very delicate information, she also retrieved some information from The Pew Research Center and according to a study they've conducted they've determined Our higher education system is " Heading in the wrong direction" and many dismiss the value of a college degree, especially the worth of a liberal arts education. I personally have to agree with Randi Tanglen, her point is very clear and in my eyes it'll be nothing less than unethical to think otherwise.
